PPAJ (continued)

PPAJ was posted on the 27th of November 2013. There I had written about two or more students with the same name in the same MSc Physics batch of the CMS college. Now some more addition to the list. This was brought to my notice by Sibu (1990 MSc). There were two girls with the same name Bindu in that batch. Bindu Manimala and Bindu Kartha. I should not have forgotten Bindu Manimala. She is the most talkative girl I have come across. She never stops talking, even for a moment. Bindu Kartha talked very less. In fact I never heard her talking. But she sang very well. During their MSc tour Manimala kept talking all the while and when she retreated for a break I made Kartha sing. I remember her singing Kishore Kumar songs extremely well.

Now a word about Sibu. Even during his student days he was a gentleman. A gem of a person. He now teaches at the Higher Secondary level. I ran into him while he was waiting for his wife, a teacher at the Baker Memorial Higher Secondary School, Kottayam. I had a pleasant surprise when his wife turned up. Jelly Soosan was of the 1994 MSc batch. She was an excellent singer. I remember her singing so many Hindi songs during their tour... particularly the "thoo jaham jaham chalege ( film Mera Saya, music by Madan Mohan)". I felt very happy when I was told that their small little kid was learning piano.

And coming to the present. KG College, Pampady is my 'refuge' since Oct 2014. There I meet the MSc Physics students and I am extremely happy and satisfied. In the first class I taught, there was a Minu and a Ninu and five Lakshmi's. And as if that was not enough there was a Sreeja Lakshmi too !! And to cap it all, there was a Kavya Madhavan too in this class !! In the next batch there was a Vishnu and a Vishnupriya. In the current batch there are two Neethu's and two Athira's. Also there are two Akhila's in the two classes. The senior Akhila is five feet tall while the junior Akhila is a little short of six feet !

And that is the long and the short of it !!!
